Gluten free bread has come such a long way in the past few years, I can remember when Miles and I first got together and when we went away or he stayed over at my place he would bring along a huge un-sliced loaf everywhere he went!
I don’t think I’ve actually seen an un-sliced loaf of everyday gluten free bread in the shops for quite some time now.
However, as with there are some brands of bread that are by far better than others, here is what we personally think of each brand we have tried. We keep our bread in the fridge as we feel it helps it last longer and stay fresher, how do you keep yours?
Cons: prone to breaking easily after a couple of days and when adding spread when making a sandwich.
Pros: Toasts really well, stays fresh for ages, great for sarnies, relitavely good when spreading butter and spreads.
Cons: Can be quite delicate, slices aren’t always a great size.
Pros: Has a lightly sweet taste to it so lovely with jam, toasts nicely, quite sturdy so great with spreads and butter.
Cons: Small slices, as it is slightly sweet it’s not suitable for all sandwiches, not many slices in a packet so doesn’t last very long (in our household).
So there you have it, gluten free sliced bread!
